Biden’s decisions pushing world to global war, Hungary’s top diplomat says
"Two months, the most dangerous in decades, are ahead of us," Peter Szijjarto noted
BUDAPEST, November 19. /TASS/. Outgoing US President Joe Biden is pushing the world toward a global disaster, Hungary’s top diplomat Peter Szijjarto said, commenting on Washington’s decision to allow Ukraine to use US-provided weapons for strikes inside Russia.
"Two months, the most dangerous in decades, are ahead of us. In the United States, the president who was ousted by his own party, whose capacity is doubted by many, and who will leave office in two months, is making decisions that could lead to a global catastrophe," the Hungarian foreign minister wrote on his Facebook page (banned in Russia and owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia).
Szijjarto believes that now that Donald Trump has won the US presidential election, "Europe has a tremendous chance to restore peace on the continent." "But there are also those who are opposed to this, on both sides of the Atlantic. War proponents in the political elite have made a desperate attempt to escalate the war in Ukraine into a global conflict. Let’s be clear: the authorization to use US weapons for strikes inside Russian territory raises the risk of a global war. And we will lose everything if that happens," the Hungarian minister concluded.
