Polish foreign minister confirms meeting with European counterparts to discuss Ukraine, US

MOSCOW, November 16. /TASS/. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski confirmed that a meeting in the Weimar Triangle format that comprises Poland, Germany and France will be held in Warsaw on November 19, describing it as "talks of utmost importance on the subject of the Ukrainian crisis."
"The events are gaining momentum. Therefore, next week I will host a meeting in the Weimar Triangle Plus format," he said in a TVN24 broadcast. "As you can see, talks of utmost importance on the subject of the Ukrainian crisis will be held in Warsaw."
Sikorski added that apart from the top diplomats from France and Germany, Warsaw also invited Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga and future European foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas.
In a Polsat TV broadcast, the Polish minister said the talks will revolve around "important decisions in tough times," amid Russia’s latest battlefield successes in Ukraine and uncertainty about how the United States’ future policy on the issue under the new US president, Donald Trump.
"That is why, decisions need to be made regarding European defense and support for Ukraine," the top Polish diplomat said.
