BEIRUT, November 15. /TASS/. Israel delivered missiles strikes on Damascus’ western neighborhoods, with Syrian air defense systems opening fire at Israeli aerial targets, the Al Hadath television channel reported.
According to the television channel, Israel has been attacking the Syrian capital city for the second day. On Friday, Israel hit a military base in the city’s suburbs. Another strike targeted the Kfar Sousa quarters where governmental buildings and law enforcement headquarters are located. No details were provided.
On November 14, the Syrian army command told the SANA news agency that several residential houses in the Qudsaya neighborhood and along the old Damascus-Beirut highway came under Israeli attack, killing 15 civilians and leaving 16 more wounded.
According to Al Hadath, Israeli warplanes attacked the headquarters of the Palestinian radical group Islamic Jihad in western Damascus and its military base near Mount Qasioun.
