HELSINKI, November 15. /TASS/. The Finnish authorities have seized more than 30 additional Russian government-owned real estate properties in the country in connection with a lawsuit from Ukrainian energy companies, the STT agency reported.

As the agency noted, in continuation of the previously adopted temporary measures, law enforcement agencies have temporarily seized apartments "belonging to the Russian state."

In addition to the ten apartments seized at the end of October, more than 30 properties covered under the previous temporary measure have now been confiscated.

The value of these confiscated apartments is more than ten million euros, the agency said.

On October 29, a Helsinki court told TASS that the court's August 13 decision stipulated seizing movable and/or immovable property of the Russian Federation in Finland in the amount of about $5 billion following a claim from six Ukrainian energy companies, including Naftogaz. According to the Russian embassy, the arrest was imposed on more than 40 real estate properties.

The Russian embassy sent a note to the Finnish Foreign Ministry expressing a strong protest against the actions of the republic's authorities.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia would challenge in court the potential confiscation of its property in Finland at the request of Ukraine.
