Israeli military vows to keep Syrian-made weapons out of Hezbollah’s hands by any means

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said that Israeli troops have detected the movement's use of Syrian-produced weapons in its attacks on Israel

TEL AVIV, November 14. /TASS/. The Israeli military will prevent "any attempts" to supply Lebanon’s Hezbollah Shia movement with weapons made in Syria, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Daniel Hagari told reporters on Thursday.

"We [Israel] will disrupt any attempts to deliver weapons to Hezbollah from Syria. We will attack any facility producing weapons for Hezbollah," Hagari said.

The spokesman said that Israeli troops have detected Hezbollah's use of Syrian-produced weapons in its attacks on Israel.

On September 23, Israel launched an offensive operation codenamed Northern Arrows against Hezbollah forces in Lebanon, carrying out massive air strikes on the organization’s military sites. Israel’s declared goal is to create safe conditions in the country’s northern areas so that tens of thousands of local residents could return to their homes. Overnight on October 1, the IDF announced a ground operation in borderline regions in Lebanon’s south.
