Ukraine imposes sanctions on maintenance services of two Moscow airports
The decree, which lists a total of 63 legal entities, sets the restrictions for a period of 10 years
MOSCOW, November 12. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky imposed new sanctions against companies engaged in Russia's air transport industry, such as the operation and maintenance services of Moscow’s Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports.
According to a decree published on Zelensky's website, the sanctioned companies include Domodedovo Airport Handling, Sheremetyevo Handling, Gazpromneft-Aero Sheremetyevo, Sheremetyevo VIP and Sheremetyevo Fuel Complex.
Some of the other sanctioned companies are Aeroflot Technics, Novaport Trading, Gazpromneft-Aero, Airports of the Far East, and the Omsk and Arkhangelsk fuel complexes. The decree, which lists a total of 63 legal entities, sets the restrictions for a period of 10 years.
On September 2, Zelensky's website also published decrees on sanctions against Russian airports. They targeted 147 legal entities and individuals associated with Russia's air transport infrastructure. Among them were Vnukovo International Airport, Aero-Sheremetyevo, Pulkovo Airport, Krasnodar International Airport, Khabarovsk Airport, Tolmachevo Airport and Domodedovo Airfield.
Sanctions against Sevastopol governor
Furthermore, Zelensky's website published another decree, which introduced sanctions against an additional 15 individuals and 39 legal entities. For example, sanctions were imposed on Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev. The restrictions against him and other individuals are set for a period of 10 years.
According to the decree, the 39 legal entities affected by 10-year sanctions include the Russian Defense Ministry’s Special Design Bureau, the More shipyard and the Tekhflot company.
Zelensky regularly signs decrees to impose sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities, along with nationals of other countries that Ukraine accuses of cooperating with Russia. Ministries and other government agencies compile sanctions lists and submit them to the Security Council for approval. Kiev also regularly imposes its proposals for sanctions against Moscow on Western countries.
