BAKU, November 12. /TASS/. The 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 29) in Baku is a success despite attempts to disrupt it, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told TASS.
"As for attempts to undermine the conference, well, we saw them. <…> But the high-level representation proved that these attempts were fruitless. Addressing the opening ceremony today, Mr. President [of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev] shared statistics - more than 70,000 registered participants," he said.
The 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 29) is being held in Baku on November 11 and 12. Delegates from more than 100 countries will discuss potential solutions to address the negative impact of global warming and ways to promote the green agenda.
