Ukraine aims to call up 1 mln people in eastern areas by end of 2024 — official
According to the plan, 360,000 people are to be mobilized in October; 325,000 and 300,000 in November and December, respectively
MOSCOW, November 12. /TASS/. Ukraine’s military conscription offices will work to enlist 1 million people in the east of the country by the end of this year to replenish the armed forces, said Yevgeny Lisnyak, deputy head of the Kharkov regional military-civilian administration.
"According to the latest data, conscription offices were set a task to mobilize 1 million people by any means by the end of 2024 to dispatch them to the battlefield immediately afterward. Furthermore, the main donor regions for the so-called mobilization resource will be the Kharkov, Odessa and Dnepropetrovsk regions, as well as Kiev-controlled areas of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions," he said at a news conference.
According to the plan, 360,000 people are to be mobilized in October; 325,000 and 300,000 in November and December, respectively, to reconstitute Ukraine’s "battle-bled" units, the official said.
