Trump's headquarters denies alignment with his adviser — news agency
"Bryan Lanza was a contractor for the campaign. He does not work for President Trump and does not speak for him," Reuters reported, citing an unnamed representative of Trump's transition team
NEW YORK, November 10. /TASS/. The words of Donald Trump's senior adviser Bryan Lanza on the Ukrainian issue are not a reflection of the US president-elect's position, Reuters reported, citing an unnamed representative of Trump's transition team.
"Bryan Lanza was a contractor for the campaign," the news agency quoted a source as saying. "He does not work for President Trump and does not speak for him," the source added.
Earlier, Lanza told the BBC that Ukraine should accept Trump's proposed "realistic vision for peace" with Russia instead of thinking about returning territory. The adviser also emphasised that a future Trump administration would focus precisely on the task of achieving peace, rather than on providing Ukraine with counteroffensive capabilities.
Trump's headquarters has not yet responded to a TASS request for comment on Lanza's words on the Ukrainian issue.
During the election campaign, Trump repeatedly said that he would achieve a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis before his inauguration.
