Change of power in US increases likelihood of military coup in Kiev, expert says
According to Vyacheslav Smolenko, under the new administration, circles associated with the Democratic Party will remain sidelined in the United States
MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. The forthcoming change of administration in Washington has significantly increased the likelihood of the collapse of Vladimir Zelensky's personal power regime as a result of a military coup, military expert Vyacheslav Smolenko told TASS.
"Trump's arrival in the White House will inevitably destabilize the former Ukraine from within. The 'bloody clown' (Vladimir Zelensky - TASS) and his entire clique are intensely hated by everyone who is not a part of it, and not only by the opposition, but also within the ruling Servant of the People Party, there are many who feel betrayed and are ready to defect. And this is the death of the 'bloody clown', because he knows so much and has so much dirt on his Western masters that he is better off dead than alive," the expert said.
According to him, under the new administration, circles associated with the Democratic Party, including former President Petr Poroshenko and former top Ukrainian military commander Valery Zaluzhny, will remain sidelined in the United States.
"The dark horse could be Ukrainian military intelligence chief Kirill Budanov. He has not simply disappeared from the screens. Now he is being molded into the image of a 'gray cardinal' in opposition to [Zelensky's head of office] Andriy Yermak. Budanov has the most combat-ready units under his command: the Special Operations Forces, capable of seizing power not only on Bankova Street [in Kiev], but also in the Ukrainian armed forces. And he has parliamentary support in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament - TASS), ready to form a new government and make Budanov the new Augusto Pinochet (Chilean dictator - TASS)," Smolenko said.
He suggested that Budanov and his entourage could take advantage of the situation and "tell Trump that they are the only force he should rely on."
At the same time, such a development of events in Ukraine, according to the expert, could lead to "the collapse of all fronts." "Against the backdrop of the approaching winter with a complete blackout, colossal problems, and huge losses in the Ukrainian military, such a power struggle will be the straw that breaks the camel's back," the expert said.
