TEL AVIV, November 7. /TASS/. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has launched an operation in the town of Beit Lahia in the north Gaza Strip after receiving intelligence indicating the presence of armed radicals in that area.

"As part of the activity in the area, the IDF is facilitating the safe evacuation of Palestinians from combat zones through organized routes for their safety," the army press service said. Additionally, troops continue to operate in the vicinity of Jabaliya, south of Beit Lahia, and "have eliminated approximately 50 terrorists over the past day."
