According to the office, Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump discussed "the Iranian threat" and "agreed to work together for Israel's security"
TEL AVIV, November 6. /TASS/. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a telephone conversation with US President-elect Donald Trump, the prime minister's office said.
"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this evening, spoke with US President-elect Donald Trump and was among the first to call him," it said. "Their conversation was warm and cordial. The Prime Minister congratulated President-elect Trump on his election victory."
According to the office, Netanyahu and Trump discussed "the Iranian threat" and "agreed to work together for Israel's security."
The US held its general election on November 5, with the voting having concluded when it was Wednesday morning in Moscow. Although vote counting continues, Trump has already proclaimed himself the country’s 47th president as he has scored more than 270 electoral votes, which is enough to win the election. Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson has already called him the elected head of state. Meanwhile, numerous congratulations have already been sent to Trump from foreign leaders.
