WASHINGTON, November 6. /TASS/. Democratic Party presidential contender Kamala Harris is expected to deliver a speech on Wednesday evening to concede her defeat in the election, Reuters reported, citing sources.

The speech is set to take place at 4:00 p.m. (9:00 p.m. GMT), according to the report, which didn’t give further details. Reuters earlier said the speech would happen at 6 p.m.

NBC television reported that Harris is set to call President-elect Donald Trump to concede the race. President Joe Biden also plans to call Trump on Wednesday to congratulate him on the victory. Biden is also set to extend an invitation to the White House and an offer to attend Trump’s inauguration, according to the report.

The vote tally has not yet officially ended, but US news media estimate Republican candidate Donald Trump already garnered 277 electoral votes, which is enough to win. He has already declared himself as the 47th US president. House Speaker Mike Johnson has referred to him as president-elect, and Trump has already started getting congratulations from foreign leaders.
