US needs new strategy on Ukraine, expert says

WASHINGTON, November 6. /TASS/. The United States needs a new strategy on Ukraine regardless of who wins the November 5 presidential election, Michael O’Hanlon, senior fellow and director of research in the Foreign Policy program at the Washington-based Brookings Institution, told TASS.
"Either one would need a new strategy for not only helping Ukraine but figuring out more actively how to help end this <…> war," he pointed out, referring to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Democratic contender Kamala Harris.
"The current Biden strategy has been good for its immediate and prioritized purposes, but over the next four years, we collectively need to figure out how to end this thing," the expert added.
The 2024 United States elections are taking place on November 5. Nationwide, American citizens are electing the President and Vice President of the United States, all representatives to the House and one-third of the senators, as well as governors of 11 states and two US territories. The race for the White House pits incumbent Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris against former Republican President Donald Trump.
