Death toll from Israeli attack on southern Lebanon rises to 20
According to Lebanese Health Ministry’s Emergency Operations Center, the number of those killed in the attack has risen from 15 to 20, while 14 people suffered injuries
BEIRUT, November 6. /TASS/. Israeli aircraft carried out a strike on the town of Barja in southern Lebanon, causing a building accommodating refugee families to collapse, the Lebanese Health Ministry’s Emergency Operations Center said.
According to the center, the number of those killed in the attack has risen from 15 to 20, while 14 people suffered injuries. "Efforts to remove the debris from the site of the explosion continued into the night; the number of those killed and injured may grow," the center said.
The attack hit a residential building near the Kamal Jumblatt school, which currently accommodates about 600 displaced persons. According to the Al Hadath TV channel, Abdullah Ibrahim, a Hezbollah leader, was the target of the attack. His fate remains unknown.
