Throughout his campaign, Donald Trump has vowed to resolve the Ukraine conflict even before his inauguration, should he reclaim the White House

NEW YORK, November 5. /TASS/. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump reiterated his promise to end the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and prevent a global war if he wins today’s election.

"I will end the war in Ukraine, which would never have started if I were president," Trump declared while speaking to his supporters in Michigan. The rally was broadcast by RSBN, a conservative media outlet.

"I will stop the chaos in the Middle East <...> and prevent World War III," Trump added, emphasizing his diplomatic ties with global leaders.

Throughout his campaign, Trump has vowed to resolve the Ukraine conflict even before his inauguration, should he reclaim the White House. However, he has yet to reveal the specifics of his proposed peace plan. Russian President Vladimir Putin has outlined Russia's conditions for ending the Ukraine conflict, which include the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbass and Novorossiya, as well as Kiev’s renunciation of NATO membership. Russia also demands the lifting of all Western sanctions and Ukraine's commitment to remaining non-aligned and nuclear-free.

The United States is holding its elections on November 5, with voters selecting the president, governors in 11 states and two U.S. territories, one-third of the Senate, and all members of the House of Representatives. Trump, who served as the 45th president from 2017 to 2021, is facing Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, who has been vice president since January 2021. Trump, having lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden, is now seeking a return to the White House.
