BRUSSELS, October 26. /TASS/. The European Union urged maximum restraint from the conflicting parties in the Middle East, the European External Action Service, the bloc's diplomatic service, said in a statement.

"While acknowledging Israel’s right to self-defense, the EU calls on all parties to exercise utmost restraint to avoid an uncontrollable escalation, which is in no one’s interest," the statement reads.
