Tehran has no plans for new military action against Israel — Iranian Security Council
Iran's operation ‘True Promise,’ a massive missile and drone attack on Israeli territory, was aimed at protecting national interests, the secretariat of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said in a statement
DUBAI, April 15. /TASS/. Tehran currently has no plans to carry out new military operations against Israel, the secretariat of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said in a statement.
"Iran has exclusively taken necessary punitive measures against the occupation regime (Israel - TASS) by attacking the regime's air, intelligence and military bases and avoiding attacks on critical infrastructure facilities, and currently has no plans to carry out new military actions," the statement said.
The document pointed out that Iran's operation ‘True Promise,’ a massive missile and drone attack on Israeli territory, was aimed at protecting national interests. It emphasized that if Israel continues to act against Iran, it will receive a harsh response.
Iran launched drones and missiles at Israel on the evening of April 13, calling it a response to numerous crimes, including an airstrike on the consular section of the country’s embassy in Damascus. The Israel Defense Forces said it had intercepted 99% of the Iranian projectiles that flew toward the country, with minor damage to the Nevatim air base.
