Iran's operation against Israel went better than expected — IRGC commander
"Our reaction to any aggression from Israel will be more severe," Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Hossein Salami said
DUBAI, April 14. /TASS/. Iran carried out a successful operation against Israel; missiles and drones were able to penetrate the missile defense systems of the Jewish state, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Hossein Salami said.
"We know that our operation was more successful than expected. <…> Our reaction to any aggression from Israel will be more severe," the Iranian state television channel Press TV quoted him as saying.
On the evening of April 13, Iran launched drones and missiles towards Israel, calling it a response to "numerous crimes,"including an attack attributed to Israel on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus. Iranian state media said the attacks on Israel targeted military sites. The Israel Defense Forces said later that they intercepted 99% of about 300 Iranian shells flying towards the Jewish state, and minor damage was caused to the Nevatim airbase.
