MOSCOW, April 13. /TASS/. Three Syrian servicemen were injured when a group of militants fired an AGS-12 grenade launcher at pro-government forces in the El-Areym district in Syria, the deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria (a division of the Russian Defense Ministry) said.
"Over the past 24 hours, one shelling attack on positions held by Syria’s pro-government forces was registered. It was carried out by members of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group (outlawed in Russia) in the Latakia province," Maj. Gen. Yury Popov said.
"Three Syrian servicemen were injured when terrorists, based in the Haddada area, opened fire from an AGS-30 automatic grenade launcher at pro-government forces near the settlement of El-Areym," he added.
The official also said that aircraft of the so-called international anti-terrorism coalition, led by the United States, continue to set dangerous precedents in skies above Syria, flying in breach of deconfliction protocols and violating the airspace of the Arab Republic.
