Germany provides 6,000 artillery rounds to Ukraine in two weeks — cabinet
Germany is the second-largest arms supplier to Ukraine after the United States
BERLIN, April 10. /TASS/. Berlin provided 6,000 155 mm artillery rounds, 16 Vector surveillance drones, 30 RQ-35 Heidrun surveillance drones, a Warthog all-terrain tracked vehicle and other military supplies to Ukraine within two weeks, the German government said in a statement.
Germany also provided Kiev with 680 Haenel MK 556 assault rifles, 120 Haenel CR 308 rifles, 50 Haenel HLR 338 sniper rifles, one mln rounds of ammunition for small arms, two Wisent mine-clearing tanks, 30 systems to counter drones, 11 mobile mine-clearance systems, three minesweepers, 70 infrared cameras and 5,000 detonators.
The list was previously updated on March 28.
Germany is the second-largest arms supplier to Ukraine after the United States. Berlin has so far allocated some 28 bln euros in military aid to Kiev and future commitments. Russia has repeatedly stressed that weapons supplies to Kiev will only prolong the conflict in Ukraine.
