Lithuania’s military aid package for Ukraine to exceed 200 mln euros — Defense Ministry
Laurinas Kasciunas noted that 84 million euros worth of aid has already been provide to Ukraine under this package
VILNIUS, April 10. /TASS/. The 200-billion-euro military aid package for Ukraine, which Lithuania planned for the next three years, will exceed the initial volume, Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurinas Kasciunas, who is currently visiting Ukraine, said.
"We had a meeting with President Vladimir Zelensky, during which we presented a support plan for Ukraine. We pointed out that the aid package will exceed the initially announced figure of 200 million euros," he told the BNS news agency.
Kasciunas noted that 84 million euros worth of aid has already been provide to Ukraine under this package.
"This is 20 million euros more than was planned for this moment," he said.
Kasciunas was appointed as a Defense Minister in late March of this year. This is his first foreign visit.
