NEW YORK, April 3./TASS/.The Brazilian authorities will not supply weapons to Ukraine even though the West has asked them to do just that, Bloomberg reported referring to European and Brazilian officials.
The agency did not specify when the request came, which countries talked to Brazil, or when it was dismissed.

Since becoming president of Brazil in January, Lula da Silva has stressed that Russia is a guarantor of long-term global peace. He has already initiated the development of a new international format to facilitate talks between Moscow and Kiev. The Brazilian president also said that he was ready to mediate direct negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian presidents if necessary. Kiev, in turn, invites Brasilia to cooperate on the so-called peace formula of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
