'Biggest debacle in modern history': US billionaire Sacks on Ukrainian counteroffensive
David Sacks believes that Washington is steering Ukraine toward an imminent collapse
NEW YORK, April 1. /TASS/. American billionaire David Sacks has branded the counteroffensive by the Ukrainian armed forces as one of the biggest failures in modern history, noting that Washington "should have no credibility left," commenting on Elon Musk’s remarks.
On Sunday, Musk wrote on the X social network that Ukraine is risking losing Odessa and access to the Black Sea unless it agrees to negotiations with Russia.
"Ukraine’s Summer Counteroffensive was one of the biggest debacles in the history of modern warfare, with tanks and soldiers running headlong into minefields while Russian artillery rained down on them from heavily fortified positions," Sacks said on X. In his opinion, Washington is steering Ukraine toward an imminent collapse. "These people are fools who should have no credibility left," the entrepreneur concluded.
In March, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Kiev had been consistently denying the possibility of talks with Moscow. He noted that Kiev’s stance is "something that is a reality both de facto and de jure," commenting on NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's statement on the possibility of Moscow-Kiev talks.
