Ukraine may suffer defeat in conflict with Russia by summer — Evening Standard
Russia’s firepower is more than five times stronger than that of Ukraine, UK journalist Robert Fox wrote
LONDON, March 29. /TASS/. The Ukrainian government may suffer a military defeat from Russia as early as by this summer, so the West should send additional aid without delay, UK journalist Robert Fox wrote in an article for Evening Standard.
In his words, Russia’s firepower is more than five times stronger than that of Ukraine, whose forces are being regularly pounded with artillery and rocket fire. According to the UK journalist’s information, Ukraine has already lost 385,000 servicemen on the battlefield. He believes that NATO and the European Union need to shape a coordinated strategy as soon as possible to avert Kiev’s defeat.
He also said that "the Western response has been patchy to the prospect of a Russian breakthrough within weeks," claiming that only the Baltic nations and Nordic countries realize the true danger.
