Death toll in Gaza Strip exceeds to 32,500 — Health Ministry
Some of the bodies of the deceased are under the rubble, and medics cannot reach them yet
CAIRO, March 28. /TASS/. The number of Palestinians killed since the beginning of the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip exceeded 32,500, with almost 75,000 people injured, the Palestinian Health Ministry said on its official Telegram channel.
"The number of victims of Israeli aggression in Gaza since October 2023 has increased to 32,552, with at least 74,980 people injured," the ministry reported. The Health Ministry also indicated that "in the past day, 62 people have died in the Gaza Strip, and 91 others were injured." Some of the bodies of the deceased are under the rubble, and medics cannot reach them yet.
The situation in the Middle East sharply escalated after militants from the radical Palestinian movement Hamas infiltrated Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, accompanied by the killing of residents of border towns and the seizure of over 240 hostages. The radicals called this attack a response to Israeli actions against the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Israel declared a full blockade of Gaza and began striking it and certain areas in Lebanon and Syria, followed by a ground operation in the enclave. Clashes are also taking place on the West Bank of the Jordan River.
