Allies launch ‘armored vehicles coalition’ to help Ukraine
According to Daniil Getmantsev, the goals of the coalition will be to supply weapons and ammunition to Kiev, repair and maintenance equipment and train military and technical personnel
MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. Warsaw has founded the "coalition of armored vehicles" to strengthen the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, head of the Verkhovna Rada Finance Committee Daniil Getmantsev said.
"Another ‘military coalition’ of Ukraine's partners has been launched. This time it is the ‘coalition of armored vehicles’, whose inaugural meeting took place in Warsaw. It was initiated by Poland and Germany, and currently the United Kingdom, Sweden and Italy are already taking part in its work," the lawmaker wrote on Telegram.
According to him, the goals of the coalition will be to supply weapons and ammunition to Kiev, repair and maintenance equipment and train military and technical personnel. "Since the days of the USSR, Russia has owned huge reserves of armored vehicles, which means that we need to double down on strengthening this area," Getmantsev said.
Kiev's Western partners periodically announce the formation of coalitions that cover various forms of assistance to Ukraine, including commitments to supply certain types of weapons (in particular, aviation, artillery, tanks).
