Rhetoric on sending NATO troops to Ukraine bring World War III closer — Szijjarto
In this regard, Hungary will urge all counterparts and allies to refrain from any statements and actions that can bring the risk of World War III closer, the Hungarian Foreign Minister said
SIRIUS /Federal Territory/, March 26. /TASS/. NATO rhetoric about sending military contingents to Ukraine brings the risk of World War III closer, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said.
"In such a critical situation it is not only the actions but words that have huge significance. So when it comes to statements about the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine on behalf of certain NATO member states, [it] is really dangerous, because we do not want to see the threat, the horrifying risk of an outbreak of World War coming closer," Szijjarto said.
In this regard, Hungary will urge all counterparts and allies to refrain from any statements and actions that can bring the risk of World War III closer.
"I think that there are more and more people in Europe - and when I say ‘people,’ I do not put an equality sign [between] people and political leaders - who start to think rationally about this issue, and there are more and more people who tend to argue against actions, which bring the risk forward of the escalation," he underscored.
