Reconciliation center reports 3 violations by US-led coalition in Syria in past day
In a separate development, four attacks on Syrian pro-government forces were registered in the Idlib de-ecalation zone: two in the province of Latakia and two in Idlib
MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. The Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria (a division of the Russian Defense Ministry) registered three violations of deconfliction protocols, committed by aircraft of the US-led coalition over the past 24 hours, the center’s deputy head Maj. Gen. Yury Popov said.
"Aircraft of the so-called international anti-terrorism coalition, led by the United States, continue to set dangerous precedents in skies above Syria, flying in breach of deconfliction protocols and violating the airspace of Syria," he said. "In the past 24 hours, three violations of the December 9, 2019 deconfliction protocols were registered. The incidents were related to flights that were not coordinated with the Russian side and involved unmanned aerial vehicles."
In a separate development, four attacks on Syrian pro-government forces were registered in the Idlib de-ecalation zone: two in the province of Latakia and two in Idlib. They were carried out by members of Jabhat al-Nusra and the Islamic Party of Turkestan (terrorist groups, both outlawed in Russia).
One Syrian serviceman was killed by gunfire coming from positions held by terrorists in the Jubb al-Mghara area. The incident occurred in the Latakia province. Also, a shelling attack in the same province left one Syrian serviceman dead and three wounded.
