WASHINGTON, March 20. /TASS/. White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan has visited Kiev and met with the Ukrainian presidential chief of staff, Andrey Yermak, Reuters reported.

According to the news agency, during a press conference after his meeting with Yermak, Sullivan claimed that the United States would provide Ukraine with a major aid package.

"From our perspective we are confident we will get this done. We will get this aid to Ukraine," Sullivan said, as quoted by Reuters.

The US administration had not announced preparations for Sullivan’s visit to Kev in advance.

Reuters reported that the White House adviser had not given any timeline for the arrival of the aid to Ukraine, but asserted that the US administration expects that it would not have to use "plan B" regarding support for Kiev.

"I am confident that we will achieve plan A. We will get a strong bipartisan vote in the House for an assistance package for Ukraine, and we will get that money out the door as we should," Sullivan said adding that the process had "already taken too long.".
