King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa wished the Russian leader "successes in state activity for the benefit of the Russian people"
MOSCOW, March 20. /TASS/. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain has congratulated Vladimir Putin on winning the Russian presidential election in their telephone call, the Kremlin press service said.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin and King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had a telephone conversation at the initiative of the Bahraini side. The King of Bahrain congratulated Vladimir Putin on being re-elected as President of the Russian Federation and wished him successes in state activity for the benefit of the Russian people," the press service said following the phone call.
Voting in the Russian presidential election took place over three days on March 15-17. Russian incumbent President Vladimir Putin garnered 87.28% of the vote, according to data from the Russian Election Commission. The turnout of 77.44% was the highest ever in Russia’s modern history.
