Republika Srpska will not join anti-Russian hysteria — parliament speaker
Nenad Stevandic pointed to current attempts to dictate exclusively neoliberal Western values
MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. Republika Srpska will never and under no circumstances agree to join the West's anti-Russian course, the speaker of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Republika Srpska (an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina), Nenad Stevandic, said at the plenary session of Russia’s State Duma.
"We, Serbs are being severely repressed for our policies, but we are adamant that we will not join the anti-Russian hysteria, although those who will agree to do so, the peoples and countries around Republika Srpska, are being offered our lands and resources as a reward," he said. "For our refusal to participate in the anti-Russian hysteria we have been severely punished and continue to be punished: we endure sanctions, insults and accusations."
Stevandic pointed to current attempts to dictate exclusively neoliberal Western values.
"These values are being restricted, independence and freedom censored and peoples set against each other and subjugated with the aim to completely control both public life and maybe even our minds," he said.
According to the legislator, small countries were the first to feel the impact and power of this new world order.
"True, we were told that they would spare us on the condition we came out against Russia. Russia has always opposed the inhuman world order, established to dominate the world's resources. You know that we were in a difficult situation, but we refused to follow them and remained your sincere friends," he added.
