NEW DELHI, March 19. /TASS/. Vinay Kumar has been appointed as India’s new Ambassador to Russia, according to the South Asian country’s Foreign Ministry.

"Mr. Vinay Kumar, currently serving as the Ambassador of India to Myanmar, has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to the Russian Federation," the ministry said in a statement.

Kumar will take over his new role shortly, the Foreign Ministry added.
