TOKYO, March 18. /TASS/. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has congratulated Vladimir Putin on his re-election as Russian president, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reports.
The North Korean ambassador to Moscow will hand over Kim’s message of congratulations to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the news agency said.
According to data posted on the Russian Central Election Commission’s website, the incumbent Russian leader, Putin, scored 87.32% of the vote, with 95.08% of ballots counted. Running in second is Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) nominee Nikolay Kharitonov (4.28%), followed by New People party nominee Vladislav Davankov with 3.85% of the vote and Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) nominee Leonid Slutsky (3.15%).
