WASHINGTON, March 17. /TASS/. Washington is concerned about a decrease in its weapons stockpiles due to arms supplies to Ukraine, White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said in an interview with ABC News.
When asked if the US administration was worried about the country’s combat readiness, Kirby said: "Yes, it’s a concern. We haven’t reached a point yet where our own national security and our own operational plans have been jeopardized. But it’s absolutely something you can’t ever take your eye off."
Meanwhile, Kirby noted that Ukrainian troops were running out of ammunition. "They are running out of ammunition in the Donbass and they are falling back now on second and third lines of defense <...>. They’ve got to have the support," the White House official said.
