TOKYO, March 13. /TASS/. An earthquake measuring a magnitude of 4.7 struck northeast Japan, with the epicenter in Fukushima Prefecture at a depth of 50 kilometers, the Japanese Meteorological Office reports.

No injuries or damage were reported; no tsunami warnings were issued. As well, no reports have been released of any abnormal situations at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, which has been shut down since 2011.
