UK, US launch new strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen — TV
According to Al Masirah, the strikes hit the Alluheyah district in the Al Hudaydah Governorate
DUBAI, February 27. /TASS/. The armed forces of UK and the US have carried out two new strikes on the facilities of the Houthi rebels from Yemen's Ansar Allah movement, the Al Masirah TV channel reported.
According to it, the strikes hit the Alluheyah district in the Al Hudaydah Governorate. No information was given about the consequences of the strikes.
With the conflict in the Gaza Strip escalating, the Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement announced that it would conduct strikes on Israeli territory and block pro-Israeli vessels from passing through the waters of the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait until Tel Aviv ceases its military operation in the Palestinian enclave. The Houthis have attacked dozens of civilian vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden since mid-November of last year.
On January 12, UK and US forces used aircraft, ships and submarines to strike Ansar Allah targets in several Yemeni cities for the first time. The targets included missile and drone sites and rebel radar stations.
