Iran’s intelligence minister accuses US, Israel of using IS for terrorist attacks
Esmail Khatib also said that the countries, where Iranian special services uncovered agents of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad during a recent operation, will release the agents’ names themselves
DUBAI, February 21. /TASS/. Iran's Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib has accused the US and Israel of using the terrorist organization Islamic State (banned in Russia) for carrying out terrorist attacks in the region.
"The IS, having lost its power, is now wandering around the region, and the US and the Zionist regime (Israel - TASS) are using it to commit terrorist acts," Iran's state-run IRNA news agency quoted him as saying.
The minister also said that the countries, where Iranian special services uncovered agents of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad during a recent operation, will release the agents’ names themselves.
On February 2, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry said Iranian intelligence services conducted a special operation that uncovered Mossad agents in 28 countries. The ministry said in a statement that several spies were found in Tehran and some Iranian provinces, and all of them were either brought to justice or brought under control by Iranian law enforcement agencies. All countries, with which Iran had agreed to exchange intelligence information, were provided with data about the agents that operate on their territory.
