According to the Belarusian leader, some venues are openly used to serve the interests of specific countries

MINSK, February 20. /TASS/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has asserted that international organizations have been completely compromised.

"The reputation of international organizations has been completely sullied. The venues of some of them are openly used to serve the interests of specific countries. But Belarus is not among them," the BelTA news agency quoted him as saying at a meeting with top national security officials.

The Belarusian leader pointed out that "the bloodiest campaigns marched from west to east and then rolled back in disgrace." That said, millions of people were killed, he added. "And the reasons are contrived, both then and now, whether we have a wrong faith, or the political system does not comply with some standard, or somebody’s rights are being violated," Lukashenko stressed. He added that "we don’t need a war, so we have to be ready for it both mentally and strategically." He thinks that nowadays it is necessary to cast aside "all illusions about the possibility of settling a global conflict diplomatically." "International law is also incapable of easing tensions," the Belarusian president added.
