Ukraine needed to ink peace agreement already one year ago, Musk says
Earlier, the SpaceX and Tesla CEO repeatedly advocated a diplomatic settlement to the conflict in Ukraine
NEW YORK, February 20. /TASS/. Ukraine's situation on the frontline is deteriorating day by day, a debacle that Kiev could have avoided as it should have concluded a peace agreement a year ago, US celebrity entrepreneur Elon Musk said.
Musk was responding to a post on the Wall Street Silver blog arguing that Ukraine and Russia needed to start peace talks and agree on a ceasefire. In the blogger’s opinion, Ukraine "has lost this war and nothing will change that," because it "doesn't have enough men to win."
Musk replied on the X social network (formerly Twitter), which he owns: "It is just a question of how many die before that reality is accepted. A peace deal should have been done a year ago. Since then, thousands of boys have died for nothing and Ukraine’s position grower [sic] weaker by the day."
Earlier, the SpaceX and Tesla CEO repeatedly advocated a diplomatic settlement to the conflict in Ukraine, for which he was criticized in Kiev. Musk also said that appropriating another aid package for Kiev and thus prolonging the conflict would not help Ukraine.
