Vucic wishes Russians stability, success in presidential election
The Federation Council, the upper house of Russian parliament, has scheduled the presidential election for March 17, 2024
BELGRADE, February 20. /TASS/. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in an exclusive interview with TASS Director General Andrey Kondrashov that he wished the 'fraternal Russian people' stability and success in the upcoming presidential election.
"Elections are upcoming in the Russian Federation. I wish you the successful election and I wish the fraternal and friendly Russian people peace, stability and security. I also wish you success and I hope that we will have an opportunity to meet more frequently and easier than in the previous two years," the Serbian leader said.
The Federation Council, the upper house of Russian parliament, has scheduled the presidential election for March 17, 2024. Russian citizens will vote during three days: on March 15, 16 and 17. Russia’s Central Election Commission has registered four presidential candidates: incumbent President Vladimir Putin, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) Leonid Slutsky, Vladislav Davankov of the New People political party and Nikolay Kharitonov of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF).
