G7 condemns Pyongyang’s alleged arms transfers to Russia — Italy’s foreign minister

MUNICH, February 17. /TASS/. The G7 countries have condemned North Korea’s alleged arms transfers to Moscow, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Antonio Tajani said in a statement in his capacity as Chair of the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting at the Munich Security Conference.
According to the document, the meeting’s participants "strongly condemned North Korea’s arms transfers to Russia, which directly violate relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions."
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has repeatedly stressed that accusations by Western countries of illegal military-technical cooperation between Russia and North Korea are unfounded and unsubstantiated.
In early January, the foreign ministers of 47 countries, including the United States, members of the European Union, as well as a number of their partners, published a joint statement condemning Russia’s alleged purchase of ballistic missiles from North Korea and their use against Ukraine.
The G7 countries also "expressed their deep concern about the potential for any transfer of nuclear or ballistic missile-related technology" to Pyongyang.
