Three US bases in northeastern Syria come under missile attack
No casualties or damage to property have been reported yet
BEIRUT, January 11. /TASS/. Armed units of the Shiite movement "Islamic Resistance in Iraq" operating on the territory of Syria fired missiles at the US military base in al-Shaddadi in the northeastern al-Hasakah Governorate, the Al Mayadeen TV channel said.
According to it, multiple rocket launchers were used to fire at a military facility located near the al-Jebsa oil field. No casualties or damage to property have been reported yet.
In addition, the US military bases in Himo and al-Malikiyah in the vicinity of the city of Qamishli (700 km from Damascus) came under missile attacks, the TV channel said.
On the territory of Iraq, air defenses shot down a kamikaze drone that Shiite militants used in an attack on a US military base on the territory of the international airport in the administrative center of Erbil (425 km from Baghdad).
Shiite militias earlier warned the US in a statement circulated on their Telegram channel that they would step up armed operations in Syria and Iraq since "the American enemy continues to provide military aid to the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip who are killing Palestinians.".
