Moldova’s plans to help train Ukrainian soldiers unacceptable — Russian foreign ministry
The Moldovan ambassador was summoned to the Russian defense ministry on January 10 over his country’s unfriendly actions
MOSCOW, January 10. /TASS/. Moldova’s plans to help train Ukrainian troops in Moldovan territory are unacceptable as they blur the country’s neutral status, the Russian foreign ministry told Moldovan Ambassador to Russian Lilian Darii.
The Moldovan ambassador was summoned to the Russian defense ministry on January 10 over his country’s unfriendly actions.
"The ambassador was also informed about Russia’s concern over media reports about Moldova’s plans to help train soldiers of the Ukrainian army by instructors from NATO countries in Moldovan territory. It was stressed that such assistance is unacceptable as it blurs Moldova’s neutral status and will lead to its direct involvement in combat operations on the part of the Kiev regime," the ministry said.
