CAIRO, January 10. /TASS/. The number of journalists killed while performing their professional duties in the Gaza Strip since the escalation between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement broke out has risen to 115, the media office in Gaza said.

According to it, "the number of journalists killed in the bombardment and shelling of Gaza by Israeli forces has reached 115." Three journalists from various Palestinian media outlets were killed in the past 24 hours, including one woman named Hiba al-Abadla. Her daughter was also killed, according to the Egyptian news portal Sada al-Balad.

Tensions flared up again in the Middle East on October 7 after militants from the Gaza Strip-based radical Palestinian group Hamas launched a surprise incursion on Israeli territory, killing many Israeli kibbutz residents living near the Gaza border and abducting more than 200 Israelis, including women, children and the elderly.
