Kim Jong Un's sister ‘thanks’ South Korea's leader for strengthening DPRK
Pyongyang will now make up many times over for the opportunities lost due to the national reconciliation dialog with South Korea, the Korean Central News Agency says
SEOUL, January 3. /TASS/. The sister of the DPRK’s leader Kim Jong Un - Kim Yo Jong - the vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, on Tuesday issued a press statement, entitled "New Year message to the president of the Republic of Korea," in which she thanked him for his "significant contribution" to strengthening the DPRK’s defense capabilities. Pyongyang will now make up many times over for the opportunities lost due to the national reconciliation dialog with South Korea, the Korean Central News Agency says.
"I cordially welcome ROK President Yoon Suk Yeol's pledge to continuously render 'distinctive services' to the rapid development of our state's military superiority in the new year, too," Kim Yo Jong said.
She pointed to Yoon's statement that the Republic of Korea and the US will finalize an extended deterrence system by the first half of this year to contain the nuclear and missile threats from the DPRK. She explained that this allowed Pyongyang to understand who the enemy was, as the South Korean side had identified the DPRK authorities and its army as a "principal enemy to be destroyed".
As Seoul talked about "unification under the liberal democracy we could awaken our people to prevent them from falling into such illusions as ‘national reconciliation’ and unity and peaceful reunification," Kim Yo Jong said.
The dialogue with the previous president
"The emergence of a ‘brave president’ who feels no anxiety even about the consequences to be entailed by his behavior and words gives us a pretty good chance," Kim Jong Un's sister said. According to her, the "merit" of President Yoon Suk Yeol is "by no means insignificant." [The previous president of the Republic of Korea] "Moon Jae In was a very sagacious and crafty man. When I think of it now, if the second Moon Jae In had taken the power, it should have been a serious trouble to us," Kim Yo Jong noted.
She explained that Moon Jae In, by means of "pretending weak-mindedness, closely clung to us, offering a package of peace in order to bind our hands, and behind laid obstacles in our efforts to bolster up the prospective military capabilities to deter the US and its war servants while inwardly meeting all his needs. He pleaded for the ban on nuclear and missile launch tests to us, but behind he imported dozens of US F-35As, commissioned several submarines and realized the complete abolition of the missile range restriction measure, sticking to his master," the statement reads.
"It is a golden opportunity to us that Yoon Suk Yeol, a ‘brave’ man close to ignorance, has taken the presidential position. It is because Yoon is helping us to make up for our above-said loss ten times, twenty times or more," the statement emphasized. "It is much easier to deal with a stupid, honest man who has shown his hostility against the enemy than a wicked man with honey in his mouth and a sword in his heart," Kim Jong Un's sister said.
