TEL AVIV, December 29. /TASS/. The Israeli military detected shelling from the Lebanese side and retaliated with artillery fire, the army's press service reported.

"A while ago, a number of launches from Lebanese territory were recorded in the direction of [the settlements of] Dovev and Baram. The IDF struck the sources of fire with artillery," the statement said.

The army also reported a false alarm in the north of the country. "Regarding the alarms due to an enemy aircraft in the north of the country: it is a false alarm. There is no threat of a security incident," the press service said.
