NEW YORK, December 24. /TASS/. Yemen’s Houthi rebels launched two missiles in direction of the Red Sea, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on its page in the X social network.
"On December 23 two Houthi anti-ship ballistic missiles were fired into international shipping lanes in the Southern Red Sea from Houthi controlled areas of Yemen. No ships reported being impacted by the ballistic missiles," CENTCOM said.
The USS Laboon destroyer shot down "four unmanned aerial drones originating from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen" on December 23, the Command added. "There were no injuries or damage in this incident," CENTCOM said.
The Central Command also received reports on December 23 from two ships in the Southern Red Sea that they were under attack. These were the Blaamanen, a Norwegian-flagged chemical and oil tanker and the Saibaba - a Gabon-owned and Indian-flagged crude oil tanker.
