Ukraine renews ban on Russian goods import
The decree banning imports of goods was adopted as early as on December 30, 2015 and was renewed several times since them
MOSCOW, December 22. /TASS/. The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers extended the ban on imports of Russian goods to the country’s customs territory until the end of 2024.
The decision to that effect was made at a meeting on Friday, representative of the government in the Ukrainian parliament Taras Melnichuk said.
"The effect of the decree of the Ukrainian cabinet of ministers <...> ‘On the ban of imports of goods originating from the Russian Federation to the customs territory of Ukraine until December 31, 2024 (inclusive) was renewed," the official wrote on his Telegram channel.
The decree banning imports of goods was adopted as early as on December 30, 2015 and was renewed several times since them. Prohibited goods comprise in particular meat, fish, coffee, tea, chocolate and other confectionery, infant food, pet food, alcoholic drinks and cigarette. The ban also covers certain industrial goods, motor vehicles, fertilizers and agricultural products.
