Armenian Foreign Minister, CSTO Secretary General discuss South Caucasus — MFA

YEREVAN, December 21. /TASS/. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov discussed the situation in the South Caucasus in Yerevan, the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.
"Ararat Mirzoyan and Imangali Tasmagambetov exchanged views on the situation in the region, projects aimed at the development of transport and economic ties, including the Crossroad of Peace concept developed by the Armenian government," the ministry said.
The diplomats discussed issues related to the activities of the organization. According to the report, the CSTO Secretary General informed the Armenian Foreign Minister about the results of the November session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the joint session of the CSTO Ministerial Council, as well as about the meetings of the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of the CSTO Security Council.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and representatives of the Armenian Foreign Ministry repeatedly stated that Yerevan is not discussing the possibility of withdrawing from the CSTO at this point, but Armenia's representatives have not participated in the organization's events in recent months. Armenia has also withdrawn its representative from the CSTO.
